Going to tell you all a little story.

Two weeks ago I was playing Anarchy Online. I did my dailies as I usually do and then logged off. The next day I went to log on and it wouldn't let me. So I log into my account page and to my surprise it says my account is banned. So I checked my email to see if there is an email about it. No email. (As is turns out, all of my accounts were banned including my froobs and bank accounts. In fact, the only accounts they didn't ban were bot accounts.)

I log another account and petition several times about it. After quite a wait and a few tries I finally talk to GM Gyhx. (sidenote: out of all the GMs I talked with, GM Gyhx is probably the most useful GM that I talked to). He tells me that no email was sent when my accounts were banned. He also tells me that only the GM that issued the ban can remove it and the only way to contact him is through the support email. So I send an email and wait the weekend. Monday afternoon I get email #1:


Greetings,

Our apologies. Your accounts have been closed due to unauthorized actives.

Thank you for your understanding.

So as it turns out, Lead GM Sojourn, Customer Satisfaction Manager is responsible for this ban. In his email he reminds me that my accounts are closed (thanks, I had almost forgotten...) and thanks me for my understanding.... Except, I don't understand....nor do I know what "unauthorized actives" are. So I send another email asking for more details on why my account was closed. I also petitioned a few times and that was an utter waste of time...10 hours of my life I'll never get back. Anyway, after a few days and several more emails I get another email from them. For your viewing pleasure I present email #2:


Dear Customer,

As stated in the prior emails, we are not at liberty to discuss the exact reasons your account(s) were closed due to the nature of the unauthorized activities that resulted in your account closure.

Please note that we reserve the rights to close your account(s) at anytime. Please review our EULA and TOS which you agree to by logging on to our game.

Even though we are within our rights not to refund you for any subscription time remaining as a courtesy I have refunded you the prorated amount for the subscription time you had remaining on your account. Please note that refunds take on average 7-10 days to process.

Sojourn strikes again. This time he managed to spell "activities" correctly. So apparently I'm guilty but I don't get to know what I am guilty of. It's a secret. Makes it more interesting I guess. Lots of things in that email struck me as unprofessional, weird, and fishy. However, I've come to learn that this is standard FC operating procedure. Since then, I have sent one email a day to support@anarchyonline.com asking for my case to be moved to another GM. In the email I also ask that Sojourn be fired. I also sent private messages to Means on RK1, Test, and the forums. I never got a reply.
